Oil draining - no spill to biggest ever spill
Would love to see the dyno results that’s awesome
The bike was sold 3 years ago so that's not going to happen.
Thank you. I’ve been struggling for an hour!
Thank you i am a 66 y.o woman with severe arthritis. I have a 3 acre yard with OLD PINES (see limbs and pinecones ALL THE TIME) i sweep or rake as much as possible before i mow but there are ALWAYS half a dozen THINGS either i miss or fall before the next day when i mow. Having to stop and restart my mower EVERY time i get off it wears out your starter and your battery in about HALF the time. My ANTIQUE snapper, think the snapper that Forrest Gump uses to mow the FB field in the movie didnt have this SAFETY feature. Yes i understand disengaging the blades and then i always put the deck on the ground when i get off. Thanks so much i am going to take care of this RIGHT NOW.
Thanks my friend for the vid. It beats paying 120 in labor for these shops to do it.
UA-cam should take down useless videos like this
@@dreamingcode you have 63 subscribers, less than 13,000 total views, and can't spell brake correctly in your video title. Maybe don't throw stones.
Is this rattle only when riding?
Hola alguna manera que se pueda desconectar velocímetro
@@pato-133 yes, check out my Speedo drd video
Oddly enough RR no longer appears to offer the switches. Does anyone know of another option for an off the shelf solution?
@@michaelc3416 they take it off the website when they're out of stock and put it back up when they have them again. As far as I know they're the only one with a ready-made option.
Does those China clones have alternator build whit in the engin, and how much power does it generate ? I build a RC tank, and the batterie will not last as long the gas. Do you have information aboute it ?
Heya, I just bought a China skid plate, and one of the mounting points goes on the gear shifter, just like yours do. Did you face any issues with it? I'm kinda concerned with that tbh. I wont be doing trails (not that we have those in Singapore), just roads but i dont like that the exhaust pipe is exposed.
I haven't had any issues.
Exactly the video I needed Thank you 👏
Saved my day too. Thank you
Excellent presentation
I had the same idea, but an engineering major told me lead shot would make it vibrate more. Thanks for proving me right.
Adding mass will decrease the frequency at which the handlebars vibrate/resonate.
Boy those adventure bikes just keep getting heavier dont they.....😂
A kayak pulled behind your bike would be epic. I'm trying to decide if I could fit a Pakayak on the back of my bike.
Beakman is cooler than that phony bill nye.
Not familiar with the oil drainage issue with the CB and center stand. But, I can say that on other bikes I have found that using some heavy duty aluminum foil allows one to easily "custom mold" a "chute" to direct oil into a drain pan rather than all over the floor. I normally tear off a piece large enough to allow folding it a few times to make a 3 or 4 layer thick sheet, then use that to mold around things and direct the oil wherever I want. Enjoyed your honest, actual ownership perspective of the bike, BTW. Considering picking up one of these and selling a couple of my KTMs. I love my 390s for a fun small, lightweight exploration bike. But as I near retirement and thinking of a longer term long distance retirement bike with potentially more durability/reliability than the KTMs, the Honda seems like a logical choice.
May I suggest sand it's a lot cheaper and not toxic.
Been doing this for 40 + years. I've used lead fishing wts or bird shot. It actually works best if you pore liquid lead in, but I've not done that. I just hammered on the lead to compact it. It changes the resonant frequency of the bars, lowering it by increasing the mass. I use bar end mirrors on all my bikes, so something has to replace the mass of the removed bar end wts. While the resonant equation is not perfectly linear, it is very close, and as such adding more wt will continue to improve the vibration felt. The vibration felt can be tuned by varying the added wt.
You can type out "resonant frequency," but can't be bothered to type "weight" lol
@@cantgitrite8576 lol smart a** you knew what wt stood for, but would not have understood res freq.
"How to make your Royal Enfield 500 Classic rideable". Thanks for the video, I've always wondered if this works. Do you think it would work with sand? It's not as dense as lead, but it's cheaper.
@@Oddman1980 worth a try considering it's 90% less expensive than lead. Just make sure it's dry
@@KorysRides It's been bugging me since I posted my comment, but a better compromise may be bb's or steel shot. That's cheaper than lead. The only problem I have now, is I don't have a way to test this because my only motorcycle is so smooth I can't feel the bars vibrate at all.
Mayber try Dynabeads. They're for balancing car tires. Would be easier, cheaper, and you'd have plenty.
I can tell ya the OPPOSITE holds true. My GSXR had metal bar ends. There was a company that sold nylon bar ends. The logic was - When you bike is sliding down the road, leaking gas, it will be creating less sparks. I bought a set and swapped mine out. HOLY BALZ! Buzzed my hands NUMB every time I road it.
If my handlebars vibrated enough that I thought it needed lead shot in it, I’d sell it and buy another brand.
@@brucelewis9440 and what do you ride that doesn't vibrate? A tiny vibration over 700 miles is a big problem, so why not mitigate it?
@@KorysRides This is a big reason why inline-4's are better for long distance riding - they are better balanced and have more even power delivery, creating far less vibration. The liter and above inline-4's absolutely rule, because they overwhelmingly have balance shafts as well, making them exceptionally smooth.
Thx Kory.Cheers.
Painting it to look like a Ritz cracker can would be cool. Its kinda shaped like a pill bottle or pringles can 😅
Uhh... I'll take two
For less than $1 you can print as many as you want. Search "RITZ BITZ CRACKER SNACK PACK PROTECTOR TUBE" on Cults3D.
Yup! I had some shit footage from my trip. My mic decided not to work. Thankfully I was running a second cam where I was able to use that audio. It worked but syncing audio to video can be a challenge.
Thank you for sharing this. These folks took good care of me about 10 years ago on my DRZ400. The website looks like they still exist, but yea, looks like a mail order business or defunct. I drove by where their shop would be off of Lemhi in Boise today and I couldn't find any signs or motorcycle activity or remnants of a shop. Sad, they were one of the best motorcycle shops in Boise back in the day.

Thank you for the comprehensive tour of the thriving town of Loma 😂
Filming was brutal, but I managed to get everything.
Im going to do this
Take fishing pole with you and catch clean and cook we all like that😊
They have foldable kayaks that could fit on the back or in a saddle bag. Depending on what you want the kayak to do. A trailer for the kayak would be awesome to see though. About the videos, I just love watching you go out and the cool places you find. Keep them coming please.
Fair complaints 👍🏻🇦🇺
I've thought about a kayak trailer as well. Tons of lakes in my area.
Same thing happened to me. The grinder grabbed and jumped towards me in the blink of an eye. Had to kick the plug out of the outlet (extension cord) because I couldn't turn it off as I couldn't let go of it.. Real close call with only a scrape. Now I use only finger triggered grinders... much safer. Thumbs Up !!
Amen Brother... They say... if you don't swing... ya don't Hit !!
Please wear glasses when riding
Uh, ok? I wear glasses all day every day to see....
Boost level? Any idea about HP improvement?
nice
200 miles per tank at least. seems plenty far. why carry extra gas?
Well, it's only 150 miles per tank when it's low mpg. Average is 50 mpg 233 miles, and I get as much as 80 mpg 377 miles. It's impossible to plan gas stops. Also, West of the Mississippi river there isn't gas on every corner. Sometimes it's 300+ miles between gas stops when the little co-op gas stations are closed on weekends. I don't go least distance along major highways, I like to explore. Also not conducive to easily available fuel stations.
nice place
Thank God for tubeless tires.
Good job!
I'm to install a Pro-oiler drive chain oiler that dispenses oil according to a speed sensor signal as i've done on other chain bikes i've owned. If do not have knowledge of which color wire is the speed sensor from the plug, please reply. There's a pink/green; pink/blue, and a solid green color conductors There's usually one wire that sends the signal pulse. Please reply; TNX...
G'day, just came across your channel because I saw the Russel Day Long seat in the splash screen. I have a 2021 CB500X that I bought at auction (they made me an offer I couldn't refuse). It came fully kitted out but still has the stock seat. I am 6.2 and 230 pound and find that the seat is killing me. Its EXACTY as you say, I slide forward and its too narrow in the front with not enough real estate for mafatass :) How much did that seat cost and is it one size fits all or do they custom make it for you ? I live in Oz so would have no chance of swinging by the factory to get it custom fitted.
Around $1200 with shipping both ways, but that was only 1/2 way across the US and not half way around the world. They custom fit it to your height and weight, and you can pick color, stitching, etc. The backrest was around $300 and is optional. I have a video in my CB500X playlist on how to order one.
Wicked!
